The Founder Behind Mark&Zin
Mark&Zin was founded by Mr. Mark in 1988 in Shanxiahu, one of China’s leading freshwater pearl regions. Our family grew up between the lakes and the workshop, working with local farms and hand-selecting pearls for their luster, surface, and shape.
The name "Mark&Zin" reflects this origin: Mark for our founder, and Zin for the quiet, considered way we work with pearls – calm, precise, and devoted to craft. Today we keep that same small-workshop mindset: small batches, careful hand-finishing, honest materials. Each piece carries a little of Shanxiahu with it – and the quiet pride of people who have worked with pearls their whole lives.
